ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tyler Eash (aka Loreum) is an interdisciplinary artist working in the realms of fine art and performance. Eash aims to portray a sense of beautiful "violence" to his work through conceptual ideas. He operates within the interstice of the emotionality of human experience and the strict rigor of architectural systems. By referencing the notions of ritual, and imbuing mundane materials with a divine opulence, Eash develops work that is both architecturally dynamic and emotionally curious. He manipulates a wide lexicon of materials and imagery -- limbs, symbols, wax, fur, and plywood into sublime romantic gestures that informs his performance work. Tyler Eash lives and works in San Francisco, CA and was born in Marysville, CA.
